Mrs. Irene Bump is the new kindergarten teacher at Holy Name, and will be teaching science and social studies. She earned her bachelor's degree and (almost) her master's degree in early childhood at Oakland University. She has 12 years of third-grade teaching experience at St. Patrick Catholic School in White Lake and also worked in a public school for two years. In addition, she subbed for two years in kindergarten and first grade when her own children were young. Mrs. Bump has been married for almost 28 years and has two grown children. One of her sons is a mechanical engineer, and the other is an electrical engineer. She grew up in Ortonville, and her mother was the bookkeeper at St. Anne Parish, where they were parishioners. Mrs. Bump enjoys bike-riding, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. She is excited to join the Holy Name staff and get to know the Holy Name families!
