Mrs. Jeanette Merricle is a sixth-grade teacher and the religion teacher for the academy. She has worked for the Archdiocese of Detroit since 1994 as a parish office administrative assistant and a teacher. She has taught at St. Anne in Warren, St. Clement in Centerline, St. Ronald in Clinton Township, and most recently she was at St. Hugo of the Hills in Bloomfield Hills. Mrs. Merricle received her bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2002 with a major in social studies and a minor in German. In 2012, she received her master's degree in education with a specialization in reading and literacy, PreK-12. Besides teaching and sharing her faith with her students, Mrs. Merricle has a passion for singing, and shares her gift by cantoring at her home parish. She enjoys reading and taking long walks with her husband while feeding ducks, geese, and squirrels. She also loves horses, but has only ridden a horse once.
